I have found this amazing new vintage store where I get a lot of my inspiration from in downtown LA. Its called Virgo and its a must if you are looking for retro floral print dress's. I also fell in love with their super 80's inspired tanks. Check out the pieces I found and plan on tweaking them a bit with some scissors before Coachella!!

What to wear : Coachella

The time is fast approaching for Coachella and I am beyond excited. Last year was my first experience and I swear it beat out every favorite holiday of mine. Not only is the line up of music this year insane but my best friend's boyfriend's band is playing and I am so stoked for them : The Local Natives playing on Sunday, check em out!

Now comes my one of my favorite parts of the festival and that is what to wear, I love any reason to dress up for a theme and feel you can go over board a little here when expressing your style. All my girl friends and I religiously read whowhatwear and last year we were uber jealous when our friend Amanda made the hotlist! Check out some styles and inspiration for my idea's this year and let me know what ya'll think....

Army green's and mustard yellows.

I love this look from www.whowhatwear.com, american apparel track short with a white trash muscle tee and fanny pack.
I love these new head bands, with the oversized flowers.

Panama hats... will defiantly be wearing this one of the days:
and just a few more ideas:
White lace and moccasins

Denim and sheer black, try the Tavik Blake Cover up.

the next wave

A while back Shopbop did a great trending lookbook for one of this season's upcoming trends which I am loving, Surfer chic. I really feel like Abby Lee has played a great roll in this trend and I am loving these looks. Here are some of my favorite inspiration shots of this new spring trend.

Americana

Check out Tavik Swimwear's first sneak peak into the Summer 2010 collection. The collection launches next week on www.swell.com.

The shoot was shot with favorite photographer Joseph Tran, model Monroe and hair and make up by Lauren Miller. It was a great shoot, we came across the car junk yard on a trip down to Oceanside to meet with Transworld and thought the grungy gritty location would be perfect for all all american styled shoot. Don't ask where the mouse ears came from we always find some great props working with Joseph. Hope you enjoy the images and most importantly w
e hope you like the bikinis.

The Summer 2010 collection pays homage to all things rock n' roll. Think hair bands, acid wash, and Aquanet, with a healthy dose of classic Americana. Each grouping consists of styles inspired by the greats: Poison, Motley Crue, and Guns N' Roses. There is something for everyone, whether it be electro-charged neon solids, faded faux denim, or an artfully zigzagged American flag pattern. The implementation of oversize bows, side ties, and zippers keeps each suit fashion-forward and impeccably girly.

By offering an eclectic mix of then and now, TAVIK continues to solidify its place in the world of contemporary swimwear. So grab your vintage concert t-shirt, your ripped jeans, throw in a bandana for good measure, and get ready to rock.
